International Day of PEACE Walk: 11am- Oswego Courthouse to Marano Campus Center Cafe
Peace Activities: 12pm MCC Cafe: Letters to the Next Generation: students write letters envisioning the peaceful world they hope to pass on to future Oswego students, while highlighting their commitment/actions toward being peacemakers. Rock Painting (outside): Peace themed.
Food and drinks will be available.
Monday, September 22nd
Evaluating Yourself: Areas of Strength and Areas for Improvement featuring Keynote Speaker: Dr. Joshua Fredenburg
Sheldon Ballroom 5pm
Students who attend this event will begin the process of self-evaluating the habits, characteristics and behaviors that either support or hinder their development as leaders. This personalized experience enables students to take ownership of their growth and plan to accomplish goals set for the academic year.

The Tea about College Life (panel discussion)

This event highlights how personal commitment to growth is key to academic success, leadership, and campus involvement by actively seeking spaces and opportunities that help you make the most of your college journey.

Talent Show: The Best Me Looks Like This
Waterman Theatre
Leadership-themed talent show that invites students to showcase their talent, whether it be poetry, singing, acting, instrumental, etc.

Empowered To Lead: Serving with Purpose
On Campus- Serving the Campus Community
Through collaboration with Sustainability, students will be encouraged to put their leadership in action through campus engagement with Shining Water, Open Garden or a third option.
Saturday, September 27th
Rise and Lead Conference Dinner featuring Keynote Speaker: Dr. Dar Mayweather
Sheldon Ballroom 6pm
Concluding event for the conference, where attendees will be served multicultural cuisines. This event recaps on the week and encourages students to continue their pursuit of campus opportunities for leadership and Personal development. Dr. Mayweather will also speak to students about consistency, commitment to development and establishing the characteristics of an effective leader.

The ALANA Multicultural Leadership conference was created to showcase multicultural organizations impact on campus, while providing programs for student leader development, appreciation of diversity, and the importance of being an engaged student on campus, in preparation for your career, upon graduation and becoming an alumni.
Students who participate in the ALANA (African Latino Asian Native American) Multicultural Leadership Conference have an opportunity to develop skills that will help them as leaders and managers within their student organizations today, while preparing them for success on their career paths. By engaging in the ALANA Multicultural Leadership Conference students acquire a stronger knowledge and deeper understanding of many cultures. This experience allows students to recognize the importance of inclusion through learning about the rich diversity of our campus community and multicultural organizations. Student leaders, alumni, faculty, staff members, volunteers, along with professional speakers and performers come together to facilitate these events making it one of the most unique conferences at SUNY Oswego.
ALANA Multicultural Student Leadership Conference has a total of 94 points.
