The Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) is a New York State Department of Education funded program developed to increase the number of historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in science, technology, engineering, math, and health-related fields. Omicron Xi is a social sorority that values its relationship with the campus and Oswego communities. We support our Philanthropy, Oswego County Humane Society through charity work, volunteering and fundraising. Our mission is to inspire important and lasting relationships amongst our sisters and other Greek organizations. Sisters can be distinctly seen around campus wearing their colors - sea green, white and medium blue. But there is much more behind those colors... Omicron Xi stands for Harmony and Strength in Eternal Sisterhood, and our motto is "uniting for a common cause." In 1897, 10 senior students, two faculty members and the University of Maine president created a new kind of honor society, one that recognized excellence in all academic disciplines covering a wider range of students than any other honor society in existence at that time.

Under the leadership of student Marcus L. Urann, who created the bylaws and constitution for the organization, the group formed the Lambda Sigma Eta Society. Upon Urann's graduation, the school's president Abram Harris led the way for promoting the Society.

In 1900, the Society was renamed Phi Kappa Phi from the letters of the Greek words forming its motto, Philosophía Krateítõ Phõtôn, "Let the love of learning rule humanity." The group also gained support from the presidents of Pennsylvania State College and the University of Tennessee to expand into a national organization.

Today, the Society has chapters on more than 325 campuses in the United States, its territories and the Philippines. Its mission is "to recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and engage the community of scholars in service to others."

Students Helping Oz Peers —or SHOP for short—opened its pantry in October 2016 as the first student-run food and clothing pantry within the SUNY system. It provides students, faculty, and staff with FREE non-perishable food, toiletries, sexual and reproductive health products, and professional and winter apparel. SHOP is a collaborative effort between on and off campus partners who recognize the need to address food insecurity on our campus. SHOP is located in the basement of Penfield Library to the right of the elevator.

The StoryTellers' Guild is a student organization located at Oswego State University. Our purpose is to foster a welcoming community centered around our favorite hobbies, including anime, video games, tabletop RPGs, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, LARPing, board games, and more. The Student Association seeks to empower and represent the voice of the students here at Oswego. Our purpose is to promote the needs and wants of the students while also overseeing the funding of many clubs and organizations on campus. SA has a budget of $1.8 million to allocate to our many active and passionate student-run organizations, while also funding several services on campuses such as free hockey tickets and the campus shuttle service.

The Student Health Advisory Committee (S.H.A.C.) is a vehicle for student input. This group is comprised of interested students who have volunteered to work with the Walker Health Center staff to improve knowledge and awarness of the Center's services among Oswego State University students. Members help to shape campus health policy, work as liaisons between students and Health Center staff, and participate in quality improvement activities.
