This is a great opportunity to review material, connect with math professors, and possibly earn extra credit points. The more students attend, the greater advantage you will have as scoring will be based on the total number of points earned by all students compared to the total earned by professors. Everyone will receive the same set of questions, and while answers will be submitted individually, team members are encouraged to work together.
The question set will include a few problems from each of the following courses: Foundations of Mathematics in the Real World (MAT 102), Precalculus (MAT 120), Measuring Life (MAT 179), Calculus I (MAT 210), Calculus II (MAT 220), and Introduction to Algebra (MAT 330). Each question will be labeled by course so you know which topic you are working with. You do NOT need knowledge of every topic, just answer what you can and try your best. If students win, you will each receive a certificate of your achievement. Regardless of who wins, all participants will receive a goodie bag!
