Alpha Epsilon Phi was founded at Banard college by seven Jewish women who were excluded from other organizations for being Jewish. The ideals and values these seven women held will live on through the name of Alpha Epsilon Phi. When looking for potential new members we look for these values within these women, we also look for people who respect Jewish heritage and the values that Jewish people hold. In order to be a member of Aephi it is important to understand the hardship that the Jewish people had to undergo, this is a very important part of Alpha Epsilon Phi.

Our colors are royal blue and glory gold, which represents pure intent and thought and high value, respect, royalty, and a sign of love respectively.

Omicron Xi is a social sorority that values its relationship with the campus and Oswego communities. We support both of our Philanthropies, Oswego County Humane Society and Oswego Health through charity work, volunteering and fundraising. Our mission is to inspire important and lasting relationships amongst our sisters and other Greek organizations. Sisters can be distinctly seen around campus wearing their colors - sea green, white and medium blue. But there is much more behind those colors... Omicron Xi stands for Harmony and Strength in Eternal Sisterhood, and our motto is "uniting for a common cause." These founding principles are depicted on our crest through our symbols, the helmet, harp, and lion.

The primary objectives of Sigma Gamma Fraternity are to promote and maintain an environment wherein men from all backgrounds, nationalities, creeds, religions and economic backgrounds can come together and flourish as a group of individuals. Sigma Gamma strongly believes in promoting brotherhood and actively seeks to create strong ties to our organization, the City of Oswego and of course, to SUNY Oswego as well. Sigma Gamma places great emphasis on the importance of handing down traditions over the years. Indeed, Sigma Gamma Fraternity members can take comfort in the fact that many of the traditional activities they undertake while in school are descendent of the very same activities undertaken by generations of brothers who have proudly worn the green and gold colors of Sigma Gamma.
