The Accounting Society is an academic organization of the State University of New York at Oswego. The purpose of the organization is to help students through college and in their careers. The organization has no restrictions to join and is open to all students and majors. The Accounting Society seeks to bring students together as friends and classmates to improve their time spent at SUNY Oswego. The club brings in professionals from the field to speak about various topics including the CPA exam, the big four accounting firms, and more.

To further develop and connect esport’s players to each other in order to promote friendly competition on a local level, as well as to allow players to test their skills in team-building and self-development to face teams on the regional, national, and potentially international level. The Oswego esports Association will continue to grow and adapt to accommodate new esports as they are founded and popularized.

We offer competitive and casual gaming environments. Some examples include competing in SUNY Leagues, hosting Smash Tournaments, and funding a Minecraft server.

The objectives of Octavia are to offer a different form of music to the students and to the community, to encourage students to collaborate with their peers on tough musical compositions, and to provide an exemplary performance to their audience whenever they perform. Octavia’s main goal is to allow each member’s knowledge and appreciation of music to blossom. Members will learn about the technique of barbershop singing, performance skills, and the history of a cappella. Existing members will continue passing down their extraordinary knowledge, style, and standards to new generations of Octavia members each semester to protect the legacy of the group.

The purpose of this club is to showcase students’ abilities to create quality short films. It will work as a community for students to come and support each other for projects and other aspects of the film community, such as festivals and film screenings. It will also work as a learning community by having students learn and teach various aspects of filmmaking through workshops. It will be involved in promoting and sponsoring film programs and events.

Our mission is to provide all majors access to professional development opportunities including resume workshops and guest speaker events to connect students with local employers to help prepare them for the workforce.
In addition, for HR majors or students with a career interest in HR, our mission is to:
1) Acquaint students considering a future in the fields of human resource management and/or labor relations
2) Keep students up to date on new developments in the field of human resource management
3) Develop a nucleus of truly professional human resource managers for the future
4) Encourage adherence to the Code of Ethics of SHRM

The StoryTeller's Guild is a student organization located at Oswego State University. Our purpose is to foster a welcoming community centered around our favorite hobbies, including video games, tabletop RPGs, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, LARPing, board games, and more. Our aim is to provide a safe and inclusive space for students of all backgrounds to come together and enjoy games. Each night of the weekday is dedicated to a different one of these hobbies. The Student Association seeks to empower and represent the voice of the students here at Oswego. Our purpose is to promote the needs and wants of the students while also overseeing the funding of many clubs and organizations on campus.

SA has a budget of $1.5 million to allocate to our many active and passionate student-run organizations, while also funding larger services for the student body such as OCO's reproductive health services on campus and Centro's shuttle services into the city of Oswego.
