ALANA will also give a special tribute to the life and legacy of one of SUNY Oswego's most outstanding leaders, Howard Gordon, who co-founded the ALANA Multicultural Leadership Conference, and played key roles in creating programs, events and environments for students, faculty and staff to thrive at SUNY Oswego, with a special emphasis on students/staff of color.
This will be followed by our leadership keynote, Dr. Mayweather, who will speak to students about consistency and commitment to development.
Attendees will be served multicultural cuisines!
Prize winners will be selected!

Dar is an accomplished professional speaker, educator, and consultant dedicated to fostering inclusive leadership across organizations, yet his greatest gift is his family. Dr. Dar's mission is to empower students and professionals to articulate their unique leadership strengths, build confidence, and secure opportunities that align with their purpose, before graduation and beyond. When not working, Dar treasures family moments—streaming church services on Sundays, watching anime with his oldest, playing sports with his youngest, and traveling with his wife, Stephanie. This balance of work, faith, and family fuels Dar’s purpose and reinforces the values he brings to his clients and students, grounded in the belief that strong leadership starts at home.
